- Submit articles for the newsletter or purchase a banner ad to get your products/services spotlighted.
- Read the monthly newsletter for updates, information, and more.
- Attend Chamber events. It takes an average of seven times for someone to see you to remember you and your company name.
- Doing business with fellow members is encouraged to build a stronger, more effective Chamber.
- Check the website once a week.
- And, remember, if you need something, call the Chamber! If we don't have the answer for you, we will find out who does!
The East Peoria Chamber of Commerce newsletter is published online monthly. In September, we changed from a printed format to an electronic version. The newsletter is free to all paid Chamber members. It contains valuable information regarding upcoming events, member news, and legislative issues.
You can advertise in the newsletter in several ways: Submit an insert for $120 or $60 for not for profits; Add a coupon or "hot deal" free of charge; Purchase a banner ad (beginning in December)
You can submit an article for Chamber Chat and also send us your Member News.
Ribbon Cuttings: What better way to show off your new or newly re-modeled business than with a free ribbon cutting! You pick the date and time, we do the rest. We will take a picture for the newsletter and send notices to the Board, Ambassadors? Club and City officials to get them there so that you can show off your fabulous location!
Chamber Website: On the site you will find: chamber events, chamber membership with free links to websites, information on the Board of Directors and Ambassadors Club, visitor information and much more.
In-Office Advertising: Did you know the Chamber has free advertising space in the office? If not, you are missing out on a key free advertising link provided by your Chamber membership. 8 ½ x 11-inch cubbies along with tri-fold brochure size are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Information in these cubbies is also used in our new resident packages.
Membership Plaques: Identify your business as an East Peoria Chamber of Commerce member by proudly displaying your Chamber membership plaque! Chamber membership plaques are free to Chamber members and since we encourage member-to-member business, make sure you display yours so everyone can know you support the Chamber.
Membership Lists: As a member of the East Peoria Chamber, you can receive an updated paper copy of the membership list at any time, free of charge.
Membership Labels: Sending a large mailing? Buy the Chamber membership list on address labels. Printed on Avery 5160 Address Labels, they come ready to stick on your mass mailing. This service is available to Chamber members at a low discounted price of $25 plus $.10 per listing, and they come with a paper list so you can keep track of whom you mailed to.
Membership Disk: Want to a mail merge with your mailing? Get the membership listing on disk. Only $.10 per name, this service allows you to personalize your letter or to target only those who can benefit from what you are offering. The disk is only available to Chamber members.
East Peoria Maps: Current East Peoria maps are available at the Chamber office for $1 each. They are $2 each if mailed out.
Notary Service: The East Peoria Chamber of Commerce offers a free notary service both to member and non-member businesses.
Certificate of Origin: The certificate of origin seal is available to members at no charge and to non-members for $20.
Scholarships: Each year the East Peoria Chamber of Commerce presents a $500 scholarship to an East Peoria Community High School senior who plans to pursue a career in a business related field. The scholarship may be applied towards tuition, books and/or fees at a two-year or four-year post-secondary institution. In addition proceeds from the annual golf outing provide for the $500 Terry Brewer Memorial Scholarship This $500 Scholarship Award was established in March 1997 in memory of former East Peoria Fire Chief and volunteer Terry Brewer. It is awarded to an East Peoria High School senior who plans to pursue a course of study in a social work/counseling/community service field at Illinois Central College.
Festival of Lights: The East Peoria Chamber of Commerce produces The FOLEPI Guide, the official publication of the East Peoria Festival of Lights. Members are offered opportunities to advertise in this publication of 30,000 copies, which is distributed to visitors to the Festival. In addition, the East Peoria Chamber of Commerce sponsors the Festival of Lights buttons and the parade-day Festival postmark.
